CEU Application and Guide

Please note changes and review carefully before submission of application.*

The American Therapeutic Recreation Association offers RT/TR continuing education application acceptance and transcripts verifying participation for programs that meet specific criteria.

Continuing education programs that are relevant to recreational therapists may apply. Applications for CEU workshops must be submitted by the workshop organizer, not by individual participants. Workshops must be approved in advance of the event. ATRA cannot retroactively award CEUs for a workshop or conference.

All applications for CEUs must be received at least sixty days prior to the scheduled date of the program. Applications received less than forty-five days prior to the program may not be reviewed.

This guide* will assist you in applying for Category A and Category B CEUs for recreational therapists. Please read the information thoroughly to ensure compliance with standards and appropriate provision of information. Sample forms and documentation are included for your use. Granting CEUs requires that certain criteria and guidelines be met.
