-Drug screen and background check is required. Interns will be compensated for 30 hours per week of work and mileage is reimbursed during work hours. -Full usage of Division of Therapeutic Recreation's fitness center is included as well as individual/group fitness classes offered.
Students accepted for a CRC-TR internship experience will have the benefit of a complete formal orientation, supervision by a CTRS and continuing clinical education, which includes hands-on practice. Students will assess participants and develop goals/objective, plan programs, implement interventions, evaluate services, and document appropriately. Students will practice many of the skills learned in their academic curriculum. Interns will be given feedback, both informal and formal supervision, coaching and encouragement. Interns at CRC-TR will be expected to perform two site visits with other CTRS’ in practice in the Cincinnati area. While all Interns will receive a well-rounded internship experience in the Community setting, specialty areas include: Aquatic Therapy/Adapted Aquatics and Adapted Sports.
