Challenge Alaska is a non-profit organization that provides adaptive sports, therapeutic recreation and education for people with disabilities. Each student will have the opportunity to experience everything Challenge Alaska has to offer with emphasis in certain areas/populations, and depending on the season and agency resources. Since 1980 we have provided recreation based programming as well as leisure education in our community. We are looking for students who are dynamic, enjoy being challenged, enjoy working as part of a team yet function independently, are willing to take on leadership roles and who have the vision and desire to put the client's needs first in everything they do. We accept interns in the winter (Jan-Apr) and summer (Jun-Sep). To apply or for more information about our internship program visit our website at www.challengealaska.org and click on the page entitled Interns.
