NOMINATIONS & ELECTIONS

 

This summer the ATRA membership will be electing qualified members to five crucial positions on the Board of Directors: President-Elect, Treasurer, and three Members-at-Large.

 

The President-Elect will serve in that role from fall 2020 to fall 2021, then serve as President from fall 2021 to fall 2022, and finally serve as Past President from fall 2022 to fall 2023.

 

The Treasurer and Members-at-Large will serve three-year terms from fall 2020 to fall 2023.

 

The ATRA Board seeks to responsibly represent the membership; we seek nominees from diverse backgrounds, practice areas and geography. Our intent is also to achieve a balance in representation between educators and practitioners. Job descriptions are available for each position on the ATRA website. Nominate a worthy professional colleague, or if you are interested in “throwing your hat in the ring” you can nominate yourself. To apply for consideration, submit a candidate information form along with requested supporting documents and an Intent to Serve form. Links to the required documents and job descriptions can be found below.

 

All nominations will be due April 17, 2020. The nominations and elections committee will confirm the qualifications of those nominated and forward the proposed slate to the ATRA Board of Directors for approval. The election ballot will be released electronically to active members on June 1, 2020 and voting will be open for one month.
