Get Involved

ATRA encourages all members to take an active role in the organization to facilitate their own professional growth and contribute to the advancement of the profession. Following are a few means for you to become involved.

ATRA Committees

The focus of the Committees is to enable the Board to carry out ATRA’s mission and work to advance the profession. Learn more and become involved.

ATRA Task Forces

The focus of the Task Forces is to enable the Board to carry out ATRA’s mission and work to advance the profession. The strategic plan provides the overall direction for the teams. Learn more and become involved.

ATRA Sections

ATRA Sections are an opportunity for you to connect with others to enhance your professional experience! These Sections connect therapists working in similar environments for the purpose of supporting each other through sharing of ideas, experiences, and planning for the future. Students as well as professionals can also learn more about working in specific areas that may be unfamiliar or new to them.  The Sections are also a way to recognize the accomplishments of people like you who work hard every day with your clients or patients. Each Section has an annual work plan describing the goals and objectives of that Section. If you are interested in helping out, you should contact the team leader for your Section.   Join in the experience of getting to know each other, what others are doing, and how you can take your profession up a notch!

Current ATRA Sections: Behavioral Health, Child and Adolescent, Community, Management, Older Adults, Physical Rehabilitation, Schools, and Veteranss.
