ATRA COMMENTS ON PROPOSED RULES
In a continued effort to empower recreational therapists, ATRA has recently offered comments on three sets of proposed rules. Please see the comments ATRA provided for PPS for Skilled Nursing Facilities, PPS for Inpatient Psychiatric Facilities, and the PPS for Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities.
We recognize that these three employment settings involve a vast number of recreational therapists and we are here to advocate for you!

Dawn DeVries, ATRA's Director of Advocacy & Legislative Affairs presented at Social Prescribing USA's Community of Practice meeting. Dawn shared how as a profession, recreational therapists utilize elements and aspects of social prescribing with various groups of people with disabilities and various conditions, using different interventions from nature, coping, and arts.
