ATRA SUBMITS COMMENTS FOR CMS MEDICARE PROPOSED RULES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2019

ATRA’s Federal Public Policy Committee has been busy reviewing and discussing the CMS Medicare Proposed Rules for Fiscal Year 2019. Comments have been submitted by ATRA for Hospice, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities, and Skilled Nursing Facilities (click here to view comments). Members were encouraged to submit comments, and Federal Public Policy Advocates with expertise in these settings offered assistance in the review and drafting of ATRA comments. ATRA’s lobbyist provided support and information as well. Dawn shared how as a profession, recreational therapists utilize elements and aspects of social prescribing with various groups of people with disabilities and various conditions, using different interventions from nature, coping, and arts.
